There are cases where children, teens, and even adults are raped by molesters. These situations are very terrifying and down right wrong, and should be stopped. However, I feel very surprised and terrified of this case the most because of its horrific story. Unknown molesters attempted to rape a Indian girl who was just 11 years old. However, when she resisted, they "poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze." Because of this incident, many people, especially Indian people, are angered and distressed. To me, this terrifying case as three main elements that made this case much more ghastly than it could have been are the facts that a group of men tried to molest one single girl; the little innocent girl was set on fire and suffered burning pains 70% of her body; and this little girl was just eleven years old. According to the article, a 18-year-old suspect was taken into custody and charged with attempted rape and murder of the 11-year-old victim. The author of the article points out on the bottom that there were two similar incidents that occurred last month. An 18-year-old girl was set on fire by a group of men, and, on that same month, a 20-year-old female student was also set ablaze after she was raped. All three victims are female, and, being a female myself, this frightens me very much because any danger or misfortune like a rape can happen anywhere. These cases must somehow be stopped and given much more attention for even children in the age of eleven are raped by unknown people and damaged for life.
